Stormwater Action Plan
Prepared by the Environmental Finance Center (EFC) at the University of Maryland, the Wheaton Hills Stormwater Action Plan is part of an outreach and education effort designed to increase awareness about the issue of stormwater pollution, increase the rate of participation by residents in Montgomery County programs, and to more fully engage the leadership of residents of County civic associations in the implementation of watershed restoration activities in their communities.
The purpose of the action plan, and associated materials, is to better equip Montgomery County civic associations, such as the Wheaton Hills Civic Association, to access available resources and implement meaningful and successful projects that support the County’s permit requirements and community priorities.
The document is not meant to provide specific engineering solutions but rather to provide a foundation for pursuing these solutions if warranted.
The plan was presented at the WHCA Community Meeting on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
